PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Since being called to the Bar,
Lorne Scott has practiced law both in and out of the
courtroom. As a barrister, he has practiced senior
civil and criminal law at all levels of Court, including
the Supreme Court of Canada. He has successfully argued
many of Alberta’s celebrated criminal cases
and as a civil barrister, he has also successfully
litigated cases involving a wide range of issues.
Lorne’s litigation practice encompasses a
broad mix of complex matters, including commercial
matters, insolvency and debtor-creditor matters and
tax litigation.
In addition to his role as a civil and criminal
barrister, Mr. Scott conducts an extensive real estate
practice. He acts for a number of real estate developers
throughout Alberta and has a personal interest in
various real estate developments.
