PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Hilary articled with a national law firm, remaining there as an associate for eight more years before moving to a smaller firm. Hilary spent a year working with the Alberta Law Reform Institute on the Tort Reform and Rules of Court Rewrite Projects.
Hilary’s primary practice has consisted of insurance defence and personal injury litigation, as well as more general civil litigation. Her practical experience includes trial and appellate experience as well as extensive experience as a mediation advocate.
Hilary is developing a practice as a mediator in conjunction with her Master of Laws degree through Osgoode Hall Law School . She is a frequent presenter to legal and insurance industry associations on the topics of alternative dispute resolution, privilege and evidence.
