PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Donna obtained a Bachelor of Physical Education degree from the University of Alberta in 1990. During this undergraduate degree she participated in intercollegiate athletics and became interested in the administration of amateur sports. Prior to entering law, she worked as a registered nurse in various Calgary hospitals specifically in emergency medicine. This type of work has provided her with a number of varied experiences from a variety of perspectives.
She obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary in 2004 and commenced articling with Scott Hall LLP in May of 2004. She left Scott Hall in 2005 and spent a year at the Youth Criminal Defense Office in Calgary defending young people charged under the Criminal Code. She returned to Scott Hall LLP in May, 2008 as an associate lawyer focusing her practice primarily in litigation.
